On Sunday 5th October 2025, Rock Up’s Senior Leadership Team will begin an extraordinary 600-mile cycling adventure in aid of BBC Children in Need, starting with a big community send-off in Hull.
At 9am outside St Stephen’s Shopping Centre, the riders will set off on a six-day challenge from Hull to Weston-super-Mare, stopping at every Rock Up climbing centre along the way.
Over 6 days, the team will cover:
- Day 1 – Sun 5th Oct: Hull → Meadowhall → Manchester (115 miles)
- Day 2 – Mon 6th Oct: Manchester → Birmingham (99 miles)
- Day 3 – Tue 7th Oct: Birmingham → Rushden (78 miles)
- Day 4 – Wed 8th Oct: Rushden → Watford → Lakeside (111 miles)
- Day 5 – Thu 9th Oct: Lakeside → Walton → Whiteley (103 miles)
- Day 6 – Fri 10th Oct: Whiteley → Weston-super-Mare (98 miles)
The public are invited to come down, cheer the team on, and be part of the excitement as Hull waves them off in style. Families can enjoy music, entertainment and Pudsey-themed fun, and local cyclists are welcome to join the team for the first stretch of the ride to show their support, whether that’s just round the corner, one mile or ten.
“This is about bringing people and communities together for a brilliant cause,” said Aaran Eade, Director of Rock Up. “We’d love to see Hull turning out in force to give our riders the best possible send-off as they begin this epic journey for Children in Need.”
All funds raised will go directly to BBC Children in Need. Donations can be made on the day or via the official fundraising page: justgiving.com/page/rockupandride.
