Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club teturns to Hull City Hall this autumn

Brace yourselves Hull… the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club returns to Hull City Hall’s Mortimer Suite, this autumn, and it’s bringing a bellyful of laughter with it.

Mark your calendars as the city’s premier night of comedy returns on Friday 19 September, for another season of sharp jokes, and side-splitting stories from some of the most exciting up and coming comics on the circuit.

Taking centre stage in September are:

Jamie Sutherland

Boasting one the highest laugh rates per minute of any comic in the UK and an immense likability, Jamie is as reliably funny as you can get! A modern act, with many observational topics, and up to date material, don’t worry if you prefer a good old-style gag, Jamie has plenty of them thrown in too, ensuring a performance that will push everyone’s buttons.

Be warned you may need a soft cushion because he’s going to have you rolling in the aisles!

“Sutherland really is very funny” The Stage

Darius Davies

From New York City to Kingston Upon Hull, Darius has come a long way from his time trawling the open mic nights of the Big Apple (literally!). His self-deprecating and humble approach makes him a real hit with audiences. He has that rare ability to syphon the most mundane details of his day and turn them in to excellently crafted pieces of purely unique comedy gold.

Davies has the class of a true pro, and he will have you grinning from ear to ear.

“This guy is amazing” BBC Radio 1

“Amazing” Russell Kane

Laurence Tuck

Nerdy and awkward but dark and twisted – This is the slightly odd but lovable world of Laurence Tuck.

“Stunningly original jokes – it’s years since I’ve seen a new comedian with jokes this good” – Adam Bloom

You won’t know whether to laugh or adopt him.

Plus, your host for the night: Jed Salisbury

Local legend and proud purveyor of mischief, Jed’s back on home turf and ready to serve up his signature mix of mischievous crudeness and belly-laughing cheekiness. With energy levels that defy physics and anecdotes that could only come from a man raised on bad movies and late-night snacks, Jed’s the perfect ringleader for this comedy circus.

“An unbelievable 10 out of 10.” – Matt Fong, Our Mothers Did ‘Ave ‘Em

“Jed Salisbury has a habit of being the funniest man on the stage. Energetic and hilarious, he was the perfect way to end the night.” Thom Milson, Howl Comedy
