The tongue-in-cheek comedy features hit songs from Wicked, Mamma Mia!, We Will Rock You and more, celebrating community spirit and romantic chaos in equal measure.

The cast
This year’s production stars returning cast members from the show’s 2023 tour – Alice Rose Palmer, Jo Patmore, Annie Kirkman, and Caitlin Townend, with musical direction by Natalie Walker, and direction by Elizabeth Godber, Hull-born playwright and theatre-maker, recently nominated for a UK Theatre Award for The Comedy of Errors (More or Less).
Audience love: “Don’t spend a small fortune going to see a West End show – get on down to ERT and see West End quality there!” Audience member, 2023
Director Elizabeth Godber says: “It’s a real privilege to direct Beverley Does Broadway as part of She Productions’ 10th anniversary. This show has such a loyal following, and I’m excited to celebrate everything audiences love: the music, the humour, and the heart.”
Co-Artistic Director Annie Kirkman adds: “What happens when Broadway hits the Humber? You get a musical mash-up full of sass, sequins, and soul. This isn’t just a night out, it’s a celebration of community spirit.”
More than a show: Fundraising and community impact
As with all She Productions’ work, Beverley Does Broadway is more than just a show — it’s also a fundraiser, with proceeds directly supporting the creation of this year’s brand-new Christmas production The Fairy Who Fell Off the Christmas Tree.
Alongside this, She Productions’ Pay It Forward campaign continues to grow. Last year, over 800 tickets were donated by businesses and individuals. This year, thanks to support from Beverley Town Council and partnerships with East Riding Libraries and local schools, the company is on track to give away over 3,000 tickets to children and families, including FREE school performances, as well as launching a new picture book adaptation of the Christmas show by Co-Artistic Director Jessica Duffield.
