Humber Place Brand named as finalist in global awards

Humber’s Place Brand, a strategic initiative to promote the region’s identity led by Future Humber, is a finalist in global annual event City Nation Place Awards.

The awards, which attract entries from across the globe, celebrate expertise and innovation in place branding, place marketing, and leadership. Humber’s Place Brand is a finalist in the Place Brand of the Year category which celebrates long-term. strategic approaches to managing and promoting a place.

This year’s City Nation Place Awards saw a 14% increase in entries, with nominations received from 28 countries.

This achievement reflects our identity as a region of pioneering changemakers, united in transforming a powerful future for Humber.”

As a finalist, Humber’s Place Brand is showcased in City Nation Place’s Brand Portfolio: the world’s largest collection of place marketing and place branding case studies. The finalists’ case studies represent the most creative, forward-thinking, and effective examples of place brand design, use of data, engagement with citizens, place shaping, communication strategies, and place brand strategies – on a range of budgets. And meet a variety of challenges from building civic pride, attracting talent, growing tourism, supporting economic development, and attracting investment.

Winners will be announced at the City Nation Place Global Conference on 6th November in London.
