Founded in 1827, Driffield Silver Band is one of the oldest brass bands in the world. Driffield Silver Band is a vibrant, forward-thinking brass band based in the market town of Driffield in East Yorkshire. With a membership of musicians of all ages, the band are proud to deliver powerful, professional performances full of energy, passion and local talent.
From concerts and community events to special occasions, the band bring music which inspires and entertains.
As one of the oldest brass bands in the world, Driffield Silver Band’s musical heritage is strong, but their focus is firmly on the future.
In September of 2025, Driffield Silver Band won the Red Admiral Entertainments Contest making them an award-winning band. Winning Best Fourth Section Band, Best Horn and Flugel Section, Best Bass Section, Best Percussion section and Best Euphonium and Baritone Section.
