Hull singer songwriter makes return visit to Yorkshire whisky distillery

A Yorkshire whisky distillery has announced its ‘Twixtmas’ Distillery Session artist.

Celebrated country music singer-songwriter Sam Turner will return to the Pot Still Coffee Shop stage at Spirit of Yorkshire’s Distillery Session on 27th December following a successful debut in 2024.

Spirit of Yorkshire Marketing Director Jenni Ashwood is delighted to welcome the Nashville-inspired artist to the final set in the 2025 programme of Distillery Sessions. She said: “Described by The British Country Music Festival as a ‘very talented singer-songwriter’, Sam’s debut single, ‘The Little Things In Life’, won the prestigious UK Songwriting Contest.

“From here, he was invited to perform at the British Country Music Festival, where he captivated the audience with his soulful voice and connection to his songs. We’re looking forward to hearing his latest release, ‘I Know a Guy’, when he plays at the distillery.”

Tickets for the event cost £15 and £25 with a sausage casserole and mash supper. They are available online at spiritofyorkshire.com or by calling 01723 891758.

In addition to music events, tours of the Distillery are available seven days a week and homemade refreshments are served in the Pot Still Coffee Shop from 9.30am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sundays.
