Music, comedy and dance grace the stages of Hull City Hall and Hull New Theatre next year.

One of the city’s biggest stars Roland Gift returns to the place he was brought up and presents 40 Years of Songs by Fine Young Cannibals at Hull City Hall on 14th May 2026.
It’s four decades since the double Brit-Award winners stormed into the UK charts with their debut single Johnny Come Home and first album Fine Young Cannibals in 1985.
Now lead singer Roland Gift performs their greatest hits including She Drives Me Crazy, Good Thing and covers of Elvis Presley’s Suspicious Minds and Buzzcocks’ Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t Have Fallen In Love With)
From a chart-topper to a star of the future as comedian Ania Magliano (pcitured) heads to Hull City Hall’s Mortimer Suite with her new show Peach Fuzz on 24th September 2026.
Fresh from starring in the latest series of Taskmaster, the comic is full of jokes, confessions, and occasionally unhinged observations. From the quirks of her own body to the legend that is Eve (yes, from Adam and), to her newly discovered boundaries this is Ania at her most funny.
Moving back to the main auditorium the self-proclaimed ‘Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band In The World’ Showaddywaddy return to Hull City Hall on 18th December 2026, with a show featuring all of their biggest including Under The Moon of Love, Three Steps to Heaven, Hey Rock & Roll, When, Blue Moon, Pretty Little Angel Eyes and many more.
Over at Hull New Theatre the Euphoria Dance Competition sees performing arts and dance schools from across Yorkshire come together for the Grand Final on 11th January 2026.
Throughout 2025 teams have battled it out in the knockout qualifier round to make it through to the final competing in Classical, Cabaret, Vocal, Acro, Lyrical and Commercial genres from the age of 3 to 73. A panel of three judges with elite industry insight and experience will decide who rises above the rest to become the Euphoria Champions 2026.
