Stage4Beverley 2026 celebrates 10 years

Last week saw the 10th anniversary of the Stage4Beverley Winter festival in Beverley, with over half of the events sold out in advance, including two performances by our Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, plus workshops in singing and poetry, and performances from the spoken word and music to dance.

Performers of all ages took part in the week long festival in a range of venues around Beverley including the Parkway Cinema, East Riding Theatre, The Memorial Hall, Toll Gavel United Church, Beverley Library and Monks Walk Inn.

In addition to the main events, workshops took place in Molescroft Primary School and Beverley High School as well as The Millers Day Centre in the town.

Organisers said they were delighted with the enthusiasm for the festival this year as it has grown in its status of such events throughout the country, and they would like to thank all those that helped to make it the success it was – performers, volunteers, venues and not forgetting the audiences who supported it. A special thank you goes to Kate Rusby and Damien O’Kane who stepped in at the very last minute to replace Sam Kelly who was taken ill. We all wish Sam a speedy recovery.

Those who attended events are encouraged to complete the feedback survey which can be found on the festival’s website: www.stage4beverley.com.

Next year’s dates are 7th to 14th February and people can also join the festival’s Mailing List by visiting its website, where they will be the first to hear of the line-up for 2027 and book tickets before events sell out.
