Hull to host connectivity event for businesses

Businesses hoping to learn more on how data centres and fibre networks can support their growth, are invited to a networking event in Hull.

Deep Connections – Data Centres & Fibre Networks will be hosted by Hull City Council, alongside partners Xantaro, Nokia and VIAVI, on Thursday 7th May at Connexin Live.

The event will allow businesses to build new relationships with trusted experts on data centres, connectivity and networks, who will share real-world insight and encourage further collaboration.

Deep Connections – Data Centres & Fibre Networks is a new, focused event following the cancellation of Connected North 2026. Designed on a smaller scale, it brings together the North’s IT ecosystem with a specific emphasis on data centres and fibre networks, offering a more niche forum for industry collaboration and discussion.

The event features interactive panels, live demos, and real-world insights on how next-generation data centre design and fibre networks are enabling scalable, high-performance, and secure connectivity for mission-critical operations.

Chris Jackson, director of regeneration and partnerships at the council, said: “Deep Connections provides businesses with the opportunity to learn about the options available for them to help to support their growth.

“In an increasingly digital world, data centres and fibre networks are crucial to a sustainable business.

“To have industry experts right here in Hull is a real coup for the city and we look forward to welcoming them alongside interested companies.”
