Building Society collecting items for Doorstep of Hull

Colleagues at Hull’s branch of Yorkshire Building Society are collecting donations of toiletries and non-perishable food and drinks in support of Doorstep of Hull, a local charity that supports people experiencing homelessness.

15 August 2015.
Yorkshire Building Society, Huddersfield.

The team are collecting items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower gels and deodorant, as well as everyday essentials such as teabags, instant coffee and tins. The items collected will be used to support people who are experiencing homeless and accessing the service for support. Doorstep of Hull helps people rebuild their lives and integrate back into society through access to essential support services and help with vital life skills like shopping, cooking and budgeting.

Nikki Clarke, customer consultant at the Hull branch of Yorkshire Building Society, said: “We really want to help make a difference to those in need with our collection station and are proud to be able to support Doorstep of Hull in this way.

“Items can be dropped off here until 30th June and we are grateful for any donations, large or small.”

Items can be dropped into the branch, located at 32/34 Paragon Street in the city centre,  between 9am and 4.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, or 9:30am to 4:30pm on Wednesdays.
