Performance marketing agency Diony is going for growth after completing a founder-led management buyout, re-energising its senior leadership team, and reinventing its approach to the modern marketing landscape.

The near £400,000 restructuring programme has already played a part in securing some major new client wins this year, with more in the pipeline as the business pursues a new strategy of “brighter, bolder, braver”.
Managing director Alistair O’Sullivan, who launched the agency in the Old Town of Hull in 2017, said the move represents a decisive shift in how Diony operates in an industry undergoing rapid transformation.
He said: “The agency landscape is changing faster than ever – driven by AI, shifting client expectations, and the demand for real commercial impact. We’ve taken this opportunity to rebuild Diony from the inside out to meet that moment.”
Diony relocated in 2022 to WORX, a former newspaper print centre which has been revitalised into a thriving hub for modern businesses and has supported the company’s expansion in terms of people and reach.
The current round of recruitment takes the head count to 23 with more to come, and the client base extends across the UK and internationally.
Alistair, still only 28, said the majority of the investment is going into talent, technology, and operational excellence, with Diony repositioning itself as a next-generation agency built for performance, genuine creativity, and long-term partnership in equal measure.
He said: “This isn’t a refresh, it’s a reinvention. We have built a solid business with consistent year-on-year growth in retained revenue and it’s now about that step change in terms of where we are.
“We are bringing in knowledge and experience and levelling up as we work with higher calibre clients, world class brands who expect a higher level of partnership.

Major client wins and retained partnerships across the UK and internationally include Bentley Motors, KCOM, and auto sector giant ITW Global.
