Colleagues at Yorkshire Building Society’s Beverley branch are collecting baby products, sanitary items and long‑life groceries to support local good cause, Doreen’s (Delivering Our Range of Everyday Essential Needs).

Yorkshire Building Society, Huddersfield.

The Society’s branch on Saturday Market has become an official donation station, with items including baby food, baby milk and nappies being collected to help create care packages for local families.

Doreen’s supports families and vulnerable households experiencing hardship, providing maternity bags filled with essentials for new mums, sanitary products to help tackle period poverty, and food parcels for those facing food poverty. The charity also runs a community hub, offering practical support alongside a safe space for people to talk or take a break.

Stephen Thompson from Yorkshire Building Society’s Beverley branch said:

“We are proud to support Doreen’s through our Beverley branch donation station. They do such valuable work in the community, and we hope our collection will help make a difference to local families in need. Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.”

Donations can be dropped off at the Beverley branch until the end of July, during opening hours: 9am–4.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 9.30am–4.30pm on Wednesdays.
