Recycled wristbands for Hull’s iconic grassroots music festival, Humber Street Sesh, are on sale now from independent outlets across the city.

Following the immediate sell-out of the first release of discounted Tier 1 tickets last week, a limited number of Tier 2 tickets and wristbands are now available for £25.00 (+ booking fee).
With top emerging headliners set to be announced early June, the award-winning festival returns to Hull Marina on Saturday, 1st August, bringing together more than 100 acts across 10 stages. Championing the best in regional emerging talent alongside acclaimed artists from further afield, this year’s event will also feature expanded community experiences designed to enhance the festival-goer experience.
This year’s festival wristbands are sponsored by POWK (Play One We Know), a platform dedicated to supporting grassroots artists, venues, festivals and music communities. For more information visit playoneweknow.co.uk
Festival Director Dave Mays said: “POWK share our passion for grassroots music, so we’re incredibly grateful to have them on board as our wristband sponsor this year. Through their digital donation platform, festivalgoers can directly support Humber Street Sesh CIC and help sustain the future of this festival and the wider community work we do.
“Like many independent festivals, we’ve faced real challenges getting the event over the line this year. The support we’ve received from partners, local businesses and our audience has been vital. Every wristband sold and every donation made genuinely helps keep Humber Street Sesh alive and accessible for future generations.”
Gerard Toplass, Co-Founder of POWK, said: “Humber Street Sesh represents everything that’s important about grassroots music and community culture. Festivals like this give emerging artists a vital platform, support independent venues, and bring people together through shared experiences.
“At POWK, we believe grassroots music needs meaningful support now more than ever, which is why we’re proud to partner with Humber Street Sesh this year. By supporting the festival and encouraging donations through our platform, we hope to help ensure this incredible event can continue to grow and thrive for years to come.”
The festival now operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC), meaning all money from funding, donations, sponsorship are reinvested back into the local community and grassroots music initiatives. Festivalgoers can donate safely through the FCA-regulated Yuubee platform when purchasing wristbands digitally, with QR codes available both at participating outlets and on festival wristbands themselves.
Dave Mays added: “The first release sold out instantly, so we’d encourage people to grab a wristband while the lower price tier is still available. Not only does it guarantee entry at the best price, but it also helps support an independent festival that belongs to the community.”
