The eagerly anticipated return of Hull & East Yorkshire Fashion Week will kick off with an opening event at the historic Trinity Market.

Grand Opening: Hull Trade Fair will take place tomorrow, Saturday 30th May, providing a showcase for a diverse range of creative entrepreneurs.
Fashion designers, accessory makers and vintage sellers will be joined by skincare brands and wig makers, all set to an all-day musical soundtrack, in a venue well known for its amazing food offerings.
The event takes place from 10am to 3pm and is free to attend.
Led by fashion brand HOUSEOFTUYI, Fashion Week aims to celebrate talent and inspire future creatives.
Hull Fashion Week was previously held 10 years ago but the event is returning bigger and better than before, with the intention being for it to become an annual occasion.
Deputy Leader of Hull City Council, Councillor Jackie Dad, said: “The event this weekend, and Hull & East Yorkshire Fashion Week in general, is a fantastic opportunity for the creative people in our city to show their talent and skill.
“Where this is a return of Fashion Week, we hope it can be the start of holding this event for many years to come, where we’re bringing together the designers of the future from our colleges with those who will showcase their professions.
“We’re helping HOUSEOFTUYI to develop a vision and delivery model for Hull & East Yorkshire Fashion Week, where it can raise the profile of makers in our region, combined with a strong educational focus at its heart.”
East Riding College students will play a central role, selling and showcasing their own designs, with over 100 students involved across fashion, hair, beauty and other creative disciplines.
The college is a key partner of the event, reflecting the strong educational focus at the heart of Fashion Week.
Further highlights of Hull & East Yorkshire Fashion Week include Queen Victoria Square hosting ‘Theatre of Dreams’ on Friday 5th June.
It will turn the square into a live cultural stage, blending fashion with performance, music, dance and storytelling, creating an immersive, open-air celebration.
