Emmaus Hull & East Riding is looking for a new trustee with experience in finance and accounting to join its Board and help support the charity’s continued development and long-term sustainability.

The charity, which supports people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion, is looking for someone with strong financial knowledge who is passionate about making a positive difference in the local community.
The new trustee will play an important role in strengthening the charity’s financial oversight and helping the Board make informed, responsible decisions about the organisation’s future. Their expertise will also contribute to good governance, organisational development and the charity’s ambitions for sustainable growth.
Emmaus Hull & East Riding is particularly keen to hear from people who can bring professional experience in areas such as accountancy and financial management. While this expertise is important, the charity is looking for someone who shares its values and believes in the power of community, dignity and opportunity to transform lives.
Stephanie Dixon, CEO said: “We are looking for someone who can bring financial and accounting expertise to our Board, but just as importantly, someone who believes in what Emmaus Hull & East Riding is trying to achieve.
“Our work is about much more than providing a place to live. It is about creating a community where people can rebuild their confidence, develop skills and move towards a more positive future.”
The trustee role offers an opportunity to use professional skills for a meaningful local cause, while working alongside a committed Board, staff team, volunteers and the wider Emmaus community.
Emmaus Hull & East Riding welcomes applications from people from a wide range of backgrounds and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive Board.
