Artist’s micro project to create snapshot of people’s lockdown lives

A 'drawn blind' portrait by artist Lydia Caprani

A ‘drawn blind’ portrait by Hull artist Lydia Caprani.

Hull artist Lydia Caprani aims to create a candid snapshot of people’s thoughts, hopes and fears surrounding coronavirus through a one-on-one drawing project.

Lydia will be ‘drawing blind’ (drawn by not looking at the paper) over videocall with a small number of project participants, and you could be included!

The project is a micro commission by Absolutely Cultured, which has asked artists to respond to working in lockdown. The 15 drawings produced by Lydia will be published on Absolutely Cultured’s dedicated online gallery, with short writings based on the conversations had, to create a window into the personal uncertainties we face, whilst hopefully creating connection along the way.

If you would like to take part email Lydia at hello@lydiacaprani.com before Friday 8th May for your chance to be randomly selected.
