An organisation which helps women deal with their menopause journey is sharing its expertise across the north and across the age groups after the success of its latest Menopause Hull event.

Leaders of the Menopaus’ull Support Network are also already planning their 2026 showcase of services and, with the backing of Hull West and Haltemprice MP Emma Hardy, will build on their work to unite women, their families and employers in managing menopause symptoms.
Emma said: “It was absolutely brilliant to see so many people come along to our menopause event. What made it truly special was the diversity of attendees – not just women experiencing menopause, but mums and daughters, husbands and wives, all coming together to learn and support one another.”
The live event held at Princes Quay was organised as part of Menopause Awareness Month and was considered the best yet by Menopaus’ull, which works across Hull and the East Riding. It attracted more than 20 exhibitors and a variety of speakers who offered advice on aspects of menopause including diet, exercise, fashion and mental health and wellbeing.
As a result of attending Menopause Hull, one visitor from Manchester is now exploring setting up a support network in Lancashire. Tutors from Hull College posted on social media about the “fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their amazing professionalism, client care and technical skills”.
Sarah Weichardt, Joint Chief Officer at Neighbourhood Network, which runs Menopaus’ull, said: “The atmosphere was welcoming and filled with meaningful conversations that reflected the growing importance of menopause awareness within our communities.
“We received some amazingly positive feedback from attendees and exhibitors alike. Attendees thanked us for organising such an informative and supportive event, commenting on how valuable it was to be able to speak directly with professionals and connect with local services that they might not have otherwise known about and which could be useful throughout their menopause journey.
“Exhibitors expressed their appreciation for providing a platform to engage with people at the event that they possibly wouldn’t normally get the opportunity to speak to.”
Sarah added that work is under way now to make next year’s fifth annual Menopause Hull the biggest yet, with more services, live demonstrations and support all available free of charge.
She said: “Menopause Hull event connects women across Hull and East Riding with health and wellbeing services that can truly make a difference to their lives. It’s essential that women know what support is available and feel empowered to make informed choices and we’re proud to continue offering this platform that brings together services and expert advice under one roof.”
Emma added: “Our aim with this event has always been to help women access the resources and information they need not only to manage symptoms, but to feel confident and thrive during this stage of life. Many visitors told me they hadn’t realised just how much support is available locally, and they left with valuable insights into nutrition, exercise and mental health and well-being.
“Menopause is something every woman will experience, and I hope we’ve shown that no one has to go through it alone – there are fantastic groups and organisations in Hull and East Yorkshire ready to help.”
