Beverley-based Bartoline launches new fast action and heavy duty paint stripper products

Beverley-based decorating sundries manufacturer Bartoline is launching two new, highly effective, paint and varnish strippers onto the decorating trade and consumer DIY markets: Paint Predator Heavy Duty and Paint Predator Fast Action

The news follows the launch earlier this summer of Bartoline’s new ‘1876 The Professional Range’ of decorating sundries for trade users.

The Paint Predator products are non-flammable, a development that will set them apart from traditional strippers on the market, says Bartoline.  Their non-flammable nature will be a significant benefit to retailers as it means that they can be displayed on store shelves for customer self-selection.

Paint Predator Heavy Duty is a high-strength, deep penetrating formulation that removes in excess of six* layers of paint or varnish in a single two-coat application. Non-drip, it is ideal for vertical surfaces.  Formulated for rapid results, Paint Predator Fast Action strips up to three* layers of paint or varnish in 30 minutes.  Non-caustic and methylene chloride free, both products are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

“Paint Predator is another ground-breaking new product range from Bartoline,” says Paul Robbins, Bartoline MD.

“We think that merchants, retailers and their customers, will appreciate the non-flammable nature of these two new products, which not only makes them safer to display in store, but also removes the risk of flammable vapours during use.”

Paint Predator is produced by Bartoline in the UK. The well-known brand’s decorative sundry products also include Clean Spirit™ (a more-environmentally friendly alternative to white spirit), white spirit, ready-mix and powder fillers, wallpaper adhesives, PVA, and garden and woodcare products

Bartoline is Bronze EcoVadis Sustainability rated, putting the business in the top 33 per cent globally for sustainability commitment and performance, and is committed to achieving a Gold rating within two years.

Established in 1876, Bartoline products are developed and manufactured in the UK at its two production plants in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, one of which has the largest production capacity for liquid filling in Europe.

*The indicated number of paint/varnish layers removed are based on tests conducted on actual painted surfaces with multiple layers of paint.  Stripping times and results can vary subject to substrate conditions, number of coats and paint coating type.
