Carlson Gracie Martial Arts Club relocates to Bransholme

Carlson Gracie is a Martial Arts club that offers classes for adults and children, with the aim to positively impact as many people as possible within the local community and beyond.

Carlson Gracie’s belief is that everyone can take part in sports. Regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, athletic build or experience, every single person who walks through its doors is welcomed and treated the same. Its team members respect people for simply trying something that is so different from most ordinary sports, and are dedicate themselves to passing on their knowledge.

Now located inside Unit 1 at North Point Shopping Centre on Bransholme, the club has members who are actively competitive as well as those who visit to keep in shape, or simply for the social aspect of being part of a team.

“Every reason to visit is valid and respected,” says Kids and Women’s Coach, Julia Scardone. “We have created an amazing community and team of people who are part of Carlson Gracie. We take pride in the personal approach we offer to every visitor who comes through the door, who eventually turn into members and friends.”

Carlson Gracie was able to open up for children in April and is now actively growing its kids team. Offering grappling, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Judo for kids aged 5 and up, it’s a great way for children to improve their fitness and confidence whilst making new friends and having fun.

“There are three sessions each week and members can come to as many as they like for only £25 a month,” says Julia. “We also offer siblings discount, or adult and child discount.  We are currently accepting all children and they get their first class for free!”
