Learning Disability website wins Highly Commended award at HSJ Patient Safety Awards

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust recently launched their Connect website made specifically for children, young people, adults with learning disabilities and their families. Last night the team brought home the Highly Commended award in the category of Learning Disability Initiative of the Year at the Health Service Journal (HSJ) Patient Safety Awards for the project.

Introducing the #TeamWISHH Great North Run 2025

Eleven runners are representing the WISHH Charity at this year’s Great North Run on the 7th September, seeing 60,000 runners take part in what is dubbed as the “World’s Biggest and best” half marathon. The fantastic team is just one of seventeen representing NHS Charities across the United Kingdom. Over 650 runners will take part in this 13.1-mile route from Newcastle and finish in South Shields, to support their local hospitals.

Local hero to run 25 marathons in 25 days for Cure Leukaemia

Sam Fletcher, a 34-year-old Technical Manager from Anlaby, is embarking on an extraordinary journey to run 25 marathons in just 25 days, starting with the London Marathon on 27 April and finishing in his home town of Hull on the 21st May.
