Dove House Hospice is proud to announce the reopening of its onsite café after a significant refurbishment and rebrand.
The café, which was previously called Dulcie’s, has reopened its doors with a new name, The Kitchen by Dove House, and has updated décor and a new menu. Owned and operated by the charity, the café plays an important role in raising funds within the community, with profits contributing to vital services for patients and their families.
The transformation marks a new chapter for the café and features a modernised interior, improved seating, upgraded equipment and a refreshed menu. The redesigned space offers a calm and inviting environment for the community to visit for a meal, snack or simply a cuppa! With breakfasts served from 8:30am, The Kitchen by Dove House is open every day until 4pm and offers something for everyone.
“The refurbishment and renaming of our onsite cafe represents our continued commitment to both the community and the vital work of the hospice,” said Sarah Cash, Deputy Chief Executive at Dove House. “Every visit helps us provide specialist care to adults in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire with life limiting illnesses. We wanted this updated space to be welcoming and uplifting as we know how important it is not only for our regular customers but also family members who use the café as a place to have a break when they are visiting a loved one in our care.”
Dove House Hospice Head Chef, Lee Davidson, adds: “We are so excited to finally be able to share The Kitchen by Dove House with the public after months of planning. We can’t wait to open the doors to our regulars and welcome in new customers too. As well as the refurbishment we have also revised the menu and are looking forward to serving up some new dishes alongside popular favourites from before.”
