At 16, Yeseniia Serdiuk arrived in Hull from Ukraine, barely speaking English. Now 18, she is emerging as one of Britain’s most exciting young contemporary artists.

Currently studying Fine Art at Hull College, Serdiuk has collaborated on large-scale public art projects and exhibited at galleries including The House of Smalls (Edinburgh), Fronteer Gallery (Sheffield), and Ferens Art Gallery (Hull). She has also earned art prize shortlists and awards, marking her as an emerging talent to watch.

Her most high-profile showcase was at the Palace of Westminster, where her work featured in The War Through Children’s Eyes exhibition — bringing the perspective of young people affected by conflict directly into the heart of British politics.
Rooted in resilience, war, and survival, Serdiuk transforms personal experiences of displacement into art with universal resonance.
