Hang Out Bakery – Charity Bake Sale

This Saturday (15th May), Hang Out Artisan Bakehouse will be going vegan for the day. And all for a good cause.

The popular bakery located on the High Street in Hull’s Old Town has been hosting guest bakers and raising money for local causes. They have already raised hundreds of pounds for both Andy’s Man Club and Smiling and Waving, and this month’s guest baker is Adam Pownall, a local vegan foodie who will be raising funds for local group Humberside Against Blood Sports.

Hang Out always provides vegan and gluten-free options. Head Baker Ana Dumitru has committed to the store going vegan for the day and will even be going vegan herself for the full week.

Ana and Adam will be baking three items together and the proceeds will go to Humberside Against Blood Sports. The bakery’s shelves will be fully stocked with many vegan, freshly baked goods, including sandwiches, baguettes, cakes and pastries.

The bakery, opposite the entrance to the Streetlife Museum, will be open from 9am until 3pm. There is an outside seating area but tables cannot be booked and are first come, first served. Please follow all government guidance regarding coronavirus restrictions when visiting.
