Howden children’s creativity “set in stone” at Lovell development

Decorative stones designed by local children have taken pride of place at Lovell Homes’ development in Howden, as the countdown to the launch of its beautiful three- and four-bedroom show homes on 12 November begins.

Saddlers Grange will offer 175 three- and four-bedroom homes, 131 available on the open market and 44 affordable homes through Together Housing Group.

Created during the town’s annual Picnic in the Park event in August, the stones feature an array of designs inspired by nature, tying into the nod to wildlife in the development, where all boundary fences will feature a hedgehog highway.

Jade Banks, sales advisor at Saddlers Grange, said: “We were so impressed by the creativity of all the children who designed a stone for us in the summer and decided that we couldn’t pick just a few to go on display, which is why every single one that was decorated has now been set in stone in the pathways leading to our marketing suite.

“I’m incredibly excited for people to be able to come and have a look around the show homes here at Saddlers Grange. After spending a lot of time out and about in the community  getting to know the area and the people, I’m confident that the market will love the range of house types on offer. I can’t wait to be able to give our prospective homeowners an insight into what a life-long home in Howden would be like.”

Howden resident Amy Jones’ sons, Louie and Alfie, took part and decorated their own stones, opting for a naturistic design. She said: “They loved taking part in the craft activity in the summer, but to actually be able to come and see their work on display has been incredibly special for them.

“It’s lovely to know that they will all be here not just for people visiting the show homes to enjoy, but for those who purchase homes in the years to come. I’d like to thank Lovell for giving us the opportunity to be part of this exciting new development in such a creative way.”

Jade added: “What we want to do is create an exciting new community, and having the children’s work on display immediately creates an air of togetherness, making people immediately feel at home in their new environment.”

A selection of three- and four-bedroom homes have now been released, with several already reserved. For more information on Saddlers Grange, or to book an  appointment, please visit www.lovell.co.uk/developments/saddlers-grange-howden or call 01430 670 868.
