Howden Football Club kicks off grand opening of new show homes

Aspiring footballers have held a “keepy-uppy countdown” to mark the opening of brand-new show homes at five-star housebuilder Lovell Homes’ brand-new development, Saddlers Grange, in Howden.

When complete, the development will boast 175 houses, with prices for three-bedroom homes starting from £210,000 and four-bedroom homes from £283,000.

Lovell Homes recently sponsored Pollington Predators Football Club’s 16 and over team shirts for their matches. So, instead of a traditional ribbon cutting taking place, the team launched the weekend using their football skills, counting down the seconds to when the show homes opened their doors for the first time.

Jade Banks, sales advisor at Saddlers Grange, said: “We are delighted to be sponsors of Pollington Predators Football Club, who play against other teams from across the region in the Fastpack Ltd York Sunday league, and loved having them help us to launch our show homes in Howden – their skills were truly impressive and they looked fantastic in their newly branded kit.

“I’m thrilled that our show homes have officially opened and I can’t wait for prospective homeowners to come and have a look around and get a feel of what living in Howden could be like. It’s such a special place to live and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the local community, I am confident they will love the houses that are available at Saddlers Grange.”

Alex Hunt, manager of Pollington Predators Football Club, said: “We’re very grateful to Lovell Homes for choosing to sponsor our team this year and, when we were presented with the opportunity to be part of this weekend’s show home launch, we couldn’t resist getting involved.

“The whole team would like to thank Lovell for its support and for allowing us to play a part in the opening of the show homes.

This isn’t the first time the local community has been involved in the brand-new Howden development. Last month, decorative stones designed by local children took pride of place in the paths leading to the marketing suite for those visiting the development to enjoy.

Jade added: “We are aiming to create an exciting new community here, which has something for people of all ages. That’s why we’re committed to creating long-lasting links with those living in the local area as we embark on the next step in bringing Saddlers Grange to completion.”

A selection of three- and four-bedroom homes have now been released, with several already reserved. For more information on Saddlers Grange, or to book an appointment, please visit www.lovell.co.uk/developments/saddlers-grange-howden or call 01430 670 868.
