Hull bus operator shows EGG-stra special generosity over Easter

Hull bus drivers, engineers, cleaners and support teams have shown their generous side by raising a cracking £1,042 for a major children’s charity.

Members of the team from Stagecoach East Midlands, raised the funds by taking part in a “true choco-holics heaven” – buying tickets to win chocolate prizes. The money raised will go towards supporting the outstanding work done by Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, which Stagecoach supports as one of its national charities.

Dave Skepper, Commercial Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: “We’re proud of our team for raising an incredible amount of money for such an important charity. Every pound raised helps provide specialist nurses and vital support to seriously ill children living with complex, lifelong conditions, and their families.

“Our team are well known for their generosity in getting behind charity causes, and we wanted to do our bit to bring that extra little bit of comfort, expert care and magic to those who need it most – it’s what community is all about.

“Our support for Roald Dahl does not stop here – we want to continue to spread the word about the work done by this marvellous organisation.”

Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity works with more than 70 NHS Trusts, across the UK, with more than 200 Roald Dahl Nurses providing support for over 40,000 children.

Roald Dahl Nurses are a lifeline to the whole family, coordinating care and providing access to emotional support. They help families feel less overwhelmed and isolated and more in control.

Stagecoach East Midlands has a long-standing record of raising much-needed funds for local charities.
