Hull company calls on city’s businesses to support animals in need

Hull-based vehicle branding company, Brandfixx, is calling on Hull businesses to rally behind one of the city’s largest animal rehoming charities.

The Hull and East Riding branch of the RSPCA is in desperate need of a new van to ensure they can continue their crucial work rescuing and rehoming pets from their Clough Road base.

Their current vehicle, which has been involved in the rescue of thousands of dogs, cats and other animals, is nearing the end of its life. Once a van is secured, Brandfixx will then brand it for the charity free of charge to keep it looking its best.

Fred Owen, chief executive of the RSPCA Hull and East Riding Branch, said: “We’re incredibly proud of the tireless work our staff and volunteers put in to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals across Hull and the East Riding but their commitment needs tangible support to make sure we can keep operating at our best.

“Over the national health crisis our work carried on and we invested in a £1m Animal Care Centre to serve our local community. Our van is a vital resource in our fight against animal cruelty and neglect and we are fast approaching the time when our existing vehicle will need replacing.

“We are appealing to any business which can support us by kindly donating a van which will be sustainable for our finances as a charity and for the environment.

“We are also delighted that Brandfixx have continued their support for our work by committing to brand the vehicle with our signature look – all free of charge.”

Brandfixx creates bespoke modular vehicle kits as a cost-effective and visually striking alternative to traditional wraps on cars, vans and plant machinery and already works with the Hull and East Riding branch of homeless charity Emmaus, also branding their vans for free.

Greg Saunderson, managing director of Brandfixx, said: “We saw the appeal by the RSPCA for support to source a new van and we wanted to get involved. If a Hull company can provide the help they need, we can then give the new vehicle the Brandfixx treatment to get it out on the road looking the part.

“It would be brilliant if we could partner with another local company and give something to the RSPCA that will improve the lives of animals in our area and give them the second chance they deserve.”
