The coronavirus pandemic, and its lockdowns and impacts, has challenged those that like to gather together to sing.
In this podcast HULL IS THIS editor Jerome Whittingham chats with leader of Hull Freedom Chorus Clare Drury.
We explore how technology and determination have created solutions, allowing choir members to produce music together. Clare also reveals details of a project that the choir is currently working on for Remembrance Day.
PODCAST: 21 minutes.
Clare is an Arts Development Officer at Hull City Council.
Claire said: “The beauty of singing in a choir is singing along with other people’s voices, is being surrounded by harmony. There’s a thing that happens when you reach a beautiful chord in a piece of music. There’s nothing quite like it.”
