Homelessness charity Emmaus Hull & East Riding is hosting a free family fun day this July with music, food, drink and entertainment for all ages.

The Emmaus Fun Day will take place on Saturday 12 July at the Emmaus Furniture Superstore on Lockwood Street. The event is an opportunity for the charity to say thank you to their local supporters and raise funds to help more people move on from homelessness.
Rachel Stones, Retail Operations Manager at Emmaus Hull & East Riding, said: “We’re really looking forward to hosting this year’s Emmaus Fun Day. This charity event will hopefully bring our supporters and local residents together for a few hours of family fun and bargain hunting. We’re all excited for the day and hopefully the sun will be shining on us too!”
The Emmaus Fund Day will include a bouncy castle, face painting, music, entertainment, stalls, refreshments, a charity raffle and tombola. The charity event is free to attend and will take place at the Emmaus Furniture Superstore, next to The Orchard, Emmaus Hull & East Riding’s residential community.
Emmaus Hull & East Riding provides a home, training, work opportunities and individual support to people who have experienced homelessness. In addition to their residential community in Hull, Emmaus also delivers an outreach service in the East Riding, providing direct support to people who are currently homeless.
Emmaus charity shops stock a wide range of donated and refurbished furniture, affordable household items, electrical appliances, clothes, bric-a-brac, books, music and bikes. As well as the Emmaus Furniture Superstore, Emmaus also has a charity shop in Newland (193 Newland Avenue) and a large Emmaus Emporium (51 Whitefriargate).
The Emmaus Fund Day will take place on Saturday 12 July, 10am-2pm, at the Emmaus Furniture Superstore, 32 Lockwood Street, Hull HU2 0HJ.
