Hull bus operator, Stagecoach East Midlands, is set to tour the city, this week, gathering gifts from generous local people and businesses.
Stagecoach East Midlands has partnered with Hits Radio for the Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’ campaign, collecting Christmas gifts for children living in poverty.
‘Mission Christmas’ supports disadvantaged children, who would otherwise wake up on Christmas morning without a gift to unwrap, by collecting gift donations at drop-off points and their Mission Christmas headquarters, based in Hull.
Stagecoach East Midlands will help facilitate a Fill the Bus Tour on Wednesday 3rd December and Thursday 4th December, with a bus and members of the team gathering gift donations from local businesses and members of the public. On board, the Mission Christmas mascot and Mr and Mrs Claus will spread some festive cheer.
Collections will be made in venues including Ferriby, Hessle, Bridgehead Business Park, Springfield Way, Freightliner Road, and Mecca Bingo on Clough Road, where members of the public are encouraged to drop off donations.
Between 9 December and 11 December, the Fill the Bus Tour will continue into various locations around Lincolnshire, and then on 15 December and 16 December, the bus will tour all Stagecoach East Midlands’ own depots, to allow generous members of the Stagecoach team to make their own donations. Last year, Stagecoach East Midlands’ team donated a total of 670 gifts, for children in our region to receive a gift from Santa.
