Hull’s Ideal Heating smashes four million milestone

Employees at Hull-based Ideal Heating are celebrating a huge milestone as work on their significant factory expansion continues.

For the four-millionth time, an award-winning Logic boiler has been assembled at their National Avenue site – a landmark celebrated by their 1,000-plus employees.

To mark the occasion, celebratory sweet treats were distributed to their teams, some of which contained special centres allowing colleagues to win exciting prizes. A dedicated cake-cutting ceremony with the CEO, alongside a unique Logic boiler-shape cake, took place in front of their production line at the Hull factory.

Included in the Logic range is the Logic+ Combi Boiler which has been recognised with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise and has received Good Housekeeping Reader Recommended Status awards.

Shaun Edwards, CEO at Ideal Heating, said: “Today’s milestone shows the confidence customers have in our tried and tested products as we continue to grow our business.

“The £16m expansion of our site is focussed around being able to develop our successful existing product lines yet further, as well as giving us the room to add to our range.

“We are a proud local employer and the ability to provide more jobs and apprenticeships in our increased space is an exciting one for the future. It’s great to be able to build on the extraordinary successes we’ve had so far.”

Founded over a hundred years ago, the Hull company is a market leader in high-performance heating solutions for both domestic and commercial markets. In addition to their staff in the city, a further 250 are based elsewhere in the UK.

As the four million milestone is passed, the Hull-firm continues to also focus towards greener energy with Air Source Heat Pumps becoming an ever-growing market.

At present, a £16m expansion of its National Avenue manufacturing site is ongoing to provide more space to increase production of low-carbon heating products. In 2019 Ideal Heating became the world’s first boiler manufacturer to be certified to ISO 50001 for energy management, achieving this international standard through measures including the use of renewable materials and energy resources in its design and production process.

Ideal is currently recruiting for a number of roles across their Hull site. More information on their recruitment drive can be found here.
