Broadband infrastructure provider MS3 Networks has announced it has connected the 20,000th customer to its full fibre network in Hull and the wider Humber region.

The milestone, achieved earlier this month, signals a shift in the region’s broadband landscape, which has been dominated by telco KCOM – for many years the only broadband provider available to residents of Hull and surrounding areas.
MS3 was established to challenge this monopoly and bring broadband choice to the region by deploying new full fibre infrastructure. Its wholesale model means residents and businesses can choose between several different internet providers for the first time.
Tony Jopling, chief operating officer at MS3 Networks, said: “Our investment in the rollout of our full fibre network across Hull and beyond was a direct result of the long-standing monopoly in the region.
“We’ve always known market competition would benefit local residents by improving service quality and driving down prices, and the news of the 20,000th connection to our network is a clear sign that’s been the case.
“We’re delighted to have saved local people millions of pounds in recent years by making it possible for them to switch to a choice of broadband providers offering competitively priced packages on an ultra-fast, super-reliable network.”
MS3’s growth has been supported by outstanding customer feedback on leading review website Trustpilot, where it has received an average satisfaction rating of 4.8 out of 5, based on over 1,100 reviews.
Tony continued: “Now that the word is out there that top-quality broadband is available from alternative providers, we’re connecting hundreds more residents to our network every month.
“We want to say a huge thank you to our team, our partners and, of course, their customers for helping us turn our vision of broadband choice for Hull into reality.”
