Hymers Hessle Mount launched

Hymers Hessle Mount has thrown open its doors to welcome pupils to its three-week summer school, warmly greeted by Interim Head, Mr Andy Copeland.

Following the news at the start of the year that Hessle Mount School would become Hymers Hessle Mount, the keys have now been exchanged and Hymers Hessle Mount has launched, alongside a bold plan for investment at the school site.

This plan includes developing improved learning environments with refurbished classrooms and enhanced resources, the enhancement of the co-curricular programme, reimagining the outdoor learning provision, creating a purpose-built kitchen, and investing in staff to ensure the highest quality of educational provision for young children.

Hymers Hessle Mount Interim Head Mr Copeland commented: “This is an incredibly exciting week for Hymers. It is wonderful to be able to welcome so many happy, smiling children to our summer school.

“Local parents have long asked us for the opportunity for their children to experience a Hymers education right from the very start of their school life. Now they can.”

From September Hymers Hessle Mount will cater for Pre-School to Year 2 education. At this point pupils will transfer to Hymers Junior School with no entrance assessment for Year 3 to Year 6 and then on to Hymers Senior School, again with no entrance assessment.

Mr Copeland added: “Hymers will be investing substantially in our Hessle Mount site as we launch one school, on two sites, with one collective vision of offering the very best all-through education for local children in Hull, the East Riding and North Lincolnshire.”
