It’s circus but not as you know it

Experience a dance-circus phenomenon like no other as Cirque Éloize bring their breath-taking new show iD Reloaded to Hull New Theatre this October.

West Side Story meets urban dance meets heart-in-mouth circus. iD Reloaded is an intoxicating blend of circus skills, b-boying/b-girling, breakdance and hip hop set against a kaleidoscope of eye-popping cityscape projections, with a pulsating soundtrack.

Cirque Éloize co-founder and director Jeannot Painchaud said: “iD Reloaded is a visual fest, still fun and energetic, more cartoon-like and colourful. It’s in complete resonance with the challenges that our teenagers are facing where screen shots and “likes” change constantly your image and creates new identities. What’s real and what’s not? Who am I? In this extraordinary period of time, it’s more important than ever to celebrate our difference and our sense of community.”

That sense of community is evident within the nine-strong company which includes: Florence Amar (aerials and hand-to-hand), Bryan ‘Slinky’ Boyer (dance and b-boy), Alexia Medesan (contortion and aerials), Christophe Bate (straps and cyr wheel), JP Deltell (juggling and trampoline), Lakesshia ‘Kiki’ Pierre (dancer and b-girl), Trevor Bodogh (trial bike), Adam Dransfield (dancer, b-boy, chair balancing, trampoline) and Kayden Woodridge (Chinese pole, hand-to-hand and trampoline). Together these exceptional artists create and extraordinary production bursting with more dare-devilry than any of the company’s previous offerings.
