Launchpad has announced Music Industry Support: Hull, a free evening of music industry panel discussions and live music curated in collaboration with the Polar Bear Music Club and Sesh Events on Tuesday 29th July from 7:30pm until late.

Taking place at Hull’s iconic Polar Music Club venue, the evening will feature details of Launchpad programs that provide industry advice and mentoring, opportunities to perform live at festivals and events across the region and funding to support project and personal development. Attendees will also gain insight into opportunities provided by other fundamental music organisations such as Youth Music, Help Musicians & PRS Foundation.
A key gathering for creatives across East Yorkshire, the event will showcase thought-provoking panel discussions led by some of the region’s most respected industry figures including Jericho Keys, presenter and producer for BBC Introducing York & Humberside; Tasha Pert, marketing lead at EMI North; Rose Barker, director and marketing manager at Polar Bear Music Club and member of O’Phantom; Lins Wilson, Launchpad Project Manager, creative producer and member of Magick Mountain; and emerging Hull artist Rouk3n. Aspiring musicians, artists, and industry professionals will gain valuable insights from those who have built thriving careers both locally and nationally, offering inspiration, guidance, and real-world advice to help shape the next generation of creative talent across Hull.
The event will also feature live performances from two of the North’s most compelling emerging acts, Spielmann and Slap Rash, underscoring the vibrancy of Hull’s growing music ecosystem and its magnetic appeal in drawing talent to the city’s iconic venues. Hailing from Leeds, Spielmann (aka Ben Lewis) will deliver an explosive set of indie-pop anthems, rich with sunny instrumentation and sharp, deadpan lyricism. Following his performance, Manchester-based brother-sister duo will take the stage, bringing their hard-hitting fusion of post-punk energy and experimental edge to Hull.
Speaking about the Music Industry Support: Hull event, whiskas, Director and Founder of Launchpad said: “It’s great to return to Hull for another industry support night, building on the success of last year’s event. The energy and sense of purpose within the Hull music community is incredible, and we’re proud to play a part in something that empowers aspiring professionals from the region to pursue careers in music.”
