Lovell, in partnership with Together Housing, has marked the completion of Saddlers Grange in Howden with a final visit to the development, welcoming representatives from East Riding of Yorkshire Council for a walk around the finished scheme.

Guests from Lovell included Tim Kelly, Regional Commercial Director, Mark Ballantyne, Regional Technical Director, and Chris Smith, Regional Land and Partnership Director. They were joined by East Riding Council representatives, Jenny Myers and Neil Archbutt, to see the completed development firsthand and reflect on the lasting impact of the scheme on the local area.
Delivered through the developer’s joint venture with Together Housing, Saddlers Grange has brought 175 new homes to Howden, including 44 affordable homes, helping to meet local housing need while creating a well-connected new community in the town.
Alongside the delivery of new homes, the development has also supported the wider community through Section 106 contributions, including £75,250 towards education, £420,736 for outdoor sports facilities, and £19,075 for public transport.
The scheme has also left a more visible community legacy through the mini library installed at Saddlers Grange, giving residents a shared space to take, swap and donate books. Opened in partnership with local charity Western Wolds Men in Sheds, the mini library was created to encourage reading and help bring the community together.
Tim Kelly, Regional Commercial Director at Lovell, said: “The completion of Saddlers Grange is a proud milestone for everyone involved in this joint venture with Together Housing. It has been great to see this new community take shape in Howden, delivering much-needed homes and creating a lasting positive impact for local people.”
Dai Howells, Assistant Director of Development at Together Housing, said: “This development has provided a great opportunity to bring high quality, affordable homes to Howden. Our focus has been on building a development that truly reflects the needs of local people, offering a mix of much-needed affordable housing in the area, and in doing so, we’re working towards supporting more families to set up roots in a thriving, well-connected community. Saddlers Grange is a great example of how partnership working can deliver real, long-term benefits for local people, and we’re proud to have played a part in shaping this new neighbourhood.”
