Mental Elf 2022 – Kickstart your festive period with a family run

What better way to kickstart your festive period than with a family run in the beautiful setting of East Park in Hull…dressed as an elf!

Local mental health charity Hull and East Yorkshire Mind is delighted to announce its first ever Mental Elf fun run and walk.

The event, being organised in partnership with Hull FC Community Foundation, will be held on Sunday 4 December, and it aims to raise not only people’s spirits, but also some much-needed funds for the local charity.

Marie-Louise Robinson, community fundraiser (and chief elf) at Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, explains more:

“Mental Elf will be a fantastic festive fun event, open for people of all ages and abilities: runners, walkers, families, teams, wheelchairs, and pushchairs. It’s a wonderful way to get together with family and friends and improve your feelings of wellbeing.”

“Elf costumes are preferred but not essential, although we hope to see lots of you dressed up. It’s the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit, all whilst raising money for local people who are struggling with their mental health.”

Anthony Snow, (sponsorship elf) and corporate partnerships lead at the charity, said:

“This event is an opportunity for everyone to get involved. Why not get a team from work together and see who is the fastest or the best-dressed elf?! We have a full range of sponsorship packages available, to help your company show its support for mental health, and promote its services.

“This will be a fantastic running/walking experience with a real wellbeing boost. Our volunteer elves will be out along the route cheering everyone on. Most importantly, you’ll get that feel-good feeling that comes from supporting your local mental health charity.”

Tickets are on sale now at www.heymind.org.uk/mental-elf and all tickets purchased before Thursday 13 October will benefit from an Eager Elf discount, as follows:
