Middle Child’s alternative pantomime has become a Christmas tradition at Fruit, but the venue’s closure means the popular festive show will this year move venues.
After six years at the converted warehouse, Middle Child will this year perform their rock and roll version of Beauty and the Beast at Jubilee Central on King Edward Street.
The award-winning Hull company’s riotous takes on classic fairy tales have become a Christmas tradition in the city, with a talented local cast cooking up live music and laugh out loud comedy.
This year’s production also includes the return of the popular late-night, adult-only shows, which last year sold out in record time.
Middle Child artistic director, Paul Smith, said: “We’ve had a brilliant run at Fruit but now it’s time for the next chapter of our alternative pantomime.
“Jubilee Central is a stunning venue that has played host to some wonderful musicians and we can’t wait to take to the same stage.
“We may have moved venues, but our panto stays true to its roots – genuinely affordable and full of that anarchic, mischievous Hull spirit that our audiences know and love.”
Featuring live music, the messiest mess scene in the country and the chance to make as much noise as you can, Beauty and the Beast is guaranteed to be a great night out this Christmas.
See it at Jubilee Central from Tuesday 18th to Sunday 23rd December.
