Monster Extraction: Love Remains

Female carers create music and films about the monsters in their lives.

My Pockets has been working with an amazing group of female carers who support people with dementia. They have created this beautiful song and video to reflect the effect that these illnesses have on their loved ones and in turn themselves. Their kindness, commitment and empathy is truly heart-warming.

They want others who are caring for people with dementia to see the film and to find support and understanding in it so they are better able to cope with their situation.

Monster Extraction is an ongoing My Pockets project that uses creativity to release the monsters in people’s lives. The project is funded by Spirit of 2012 and The Department of Culture, Media and Sport.

My Pockets is an award-winning arts organisation based in East Yorkshire. They make innovative and heartfelt films, music and social art projects. Their work has been supported by Spirit of 2012, BFI, BBC, Youth Music, National Lottery and Hull 2017.
