New shows on sale this week at Hull City Hall

The stage is set for music, magic and mischief with four new shows on sale now at Hull City Hall.

For more than 25 years, current and former BBC staff from East Yorkshire have brought families together with their spectacular annual pantomime. On 24 January 2026, they take on their most daring adventure yet with Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood. Ready to fill the stage with laughter, mischief and a sprinkle of magic, all profits from this production will be split between WISHH, the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals Charity and BBC Children in Need.

Later in the year, get ready for a night of pure Northern Soul as Darrell Smith and the Soul Brothers Syndicate present the Northern Soul Orchestra heads to Hull on 6 November 2026. The 20-piece orchestra plays homage to the music movement that shaped a generation combined with their own unique spirit and spontaneous humour. From Northern Soul’s humble beginnings in Manchester to the Blackpool Mecca and the world-famous Wigan Casino, this incredible evening of music features special guest vocalists Darrell Smith, Judith Ure and Grace Curran.

The music continues on 18 December 2026 as A Christmas Spectacular with AFO Choir returns for a 14th phenomenal year. Founded by Britain’s Got Talent stars The Garnett Family and featuring over 350 sensational singers, this unforgettable show brings together some of the region’s finest vocal talent to create a Christmas spectacular that’s guaranteed to uplift and inspire in the most magical way.

Looking further ahead, the original and best Bee Gees tribute Jive Talkin’ heads to Hull on 26 February 2027. Having performed alongside the Bee Gees themselves, Jive Talkin’ deliver more than just a tribute. Packed with laughter, camaraderie and unforgettable moments, this incredible seven-piece band features a full live line-up and ensures every note is performed with precision and passion. It’s a must-see for all fans of the Bee Gees.
