PODCAST: 13 minutes
HULL IS THIS editor Jerome Whittingham, home-working like many other freelances, is taking his confinement as an opportunity to catch up with some of his arty friends.
In this podcast interview he’s speaking with poet Matt Nicholson.
Is Matt a man of the wolds, or does he prefer the flatlands of Hull? What’s his attraction to water? Matt reads two of the poems from his latest collection, and Jerome tries to respond with intelligent questions.
Matt’s latest poetry collection, ‘Small Havocs’, was due to be launched at an event this month. The launch event has been postponed to some time in the future, when all this coronavirus malarkey has become history. Matt will be spending his unexpected free time writing further poems, and occasionally stretching his legs.
His new collection, published by Yaffle Press, is now available for purchase though. You can buy a copy in J.E.Books in Hull’s Old Town, or from Wrecking Ball Press’ bookshop in Princes Quay.
It’s also available to order online for postal delivery, here:
