Hull stroke survivors, carers, clinical staff and musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) today performed a fun lunchtime concert of original music written and performed by the RPO STROKESTRA®, to an admiring audience at Hull Trinity Indoor Market.
Over four months, participants took part in fortnightly sessions during which clinicians from City Health Care Partnership CIC and RPO musicians lead specially adapted musical activities enabling participants to listen to, conduct, compose and perform music, all whilst encouraging rehabilitation work aimed at meeting physical, social, emotional and cognitive recovery goals. The ensemble performed their brand new music in a lunchtime performance at Trinity Market, celebrating their rehabilitation and creative successes with the Hull community.
