Rudolph Run – Dove House needs your school and nursery

Dove House is excited to announce the launch of this year’s Rudolph Run in nursery and primary schools across Hull and East Yorkshire.

Thousands of children shall be donning their reindeer antlers and characteristic red noses to help support the hospice this December by taking part in a fun run during the school day and asking relatives, friends and others to sponsor their efforts. It is hoped that this year’s Rudolph Run will help to raise £20,000 for the hospice this Christmas.

Dan Clipson, Regional Fundraiser at Dove House had this to say: “Our Rudolph Run is a fantastic way for nurseries, pre-schools and primary schools across Hull and East Yorkshire to celebrate Christmas whilst raising funds for the hospice at the same time. We really hope lots of schools and nurseries sign up this year, it really does make such a difference to the hospice.”

How it works:

The Rudolph Run is simply a sponsored walk, run or reindeer trot (or perhaps a combination of all three). It is up to your child’s school to set the date and distance using any appropriate location available to them. Each participating school will receive:

  • Reindeer antlers for each child and staff member
  • A red sponge nose each
  • Sponsor forms
  • Certificates and a trophy for the school on completion of their challenge

There is no minimum sponsorship requirement. Each and every pound raised will help to ensure the continued specialist care of Dove House’s patients at Christmas time.
