Hull Piano School and the Hull University Music Department will be bringing a unique event entitled Secrets to Stunning Piano Performance to the Middleton Hall in November.
A full day of interactive activities in three sessions, morning, afternoon, and evening culminating in a concert.

· Play on stage with expert support
· Engage with other budding pianists
· Discover the inner workings of the instrument
If you are learning to play the piano, this is for you whether you are learning with a teacher or self-taught (Grade 1 +)”
Presenters will take a whistle-stop tour exploring the culture of different periods, explore how the piano works and how it has developed, take a look at how posture affects performance and culminate in a concert by renowned pianist Julian Hellaby.
Along the way there will be opportunities for students to participate and plano on stage on the grand piano.
This is an event to inspire and ‘open the windows’ to aspects of playing that are not able to be covered in normal lessons.
