Sessions Spa welcomes new owners, following sale from Georgina and Jimi Parkinson

Sessions, the North East’s premier spa for beauty and hair, based in New Walk Beverley, has been sold by Georgina and Jimi Parkinson to Rhona McLeod and Ian Richardson for an undisclosed sum.

Rhona is a senior corporate executive of a large organisation and holds several non-executive advisory roles with medium to large businesses across the UK. Ian Richardson is an ex-Eversheds corporate partner who has made a number of successful investments in the beauty industry. Their previous experience places both Rhona and Ian in the perfect position for owning and managing Sessions Spa.

Rhona, who has for many years been a happy customer at Sessions Spa, will be the new managing director of the business and commented as follows:

“I am delighted and proud to be the new owner of the Sessions Spa. I have been a customer for many years and always enjoyed the experience and service provided by the wonderful team. With a passion for beauty and hair, I am particularly looking forward to putting my own stamp on the business and introducing innovative and advanced treatments for beauty and hair to the existing menu offering. It is an amazing business, and I cannot wait to take it to the next level, building on the incredible work and successes of Georgina and Jimi!”

Georgina, who has owned and run Sessions Spa for over a decade, commented:

“Whilst we are sad to be saying goodbye to the business, we believe that we have left Sessions in extremely capable and qualified hands. We have thoroughly enjoyed our years at Sessions. We will be working closely with Rhona to ensure a seamless transition.”

Jimi will continue working within the business and salon for a number of weeks to implement a smooth handover of his loyal clientele. He commented: “This is an end to a much-loved era in our lives. We have complete confidence in Rhona and Ian. The innovative plans and ideas Rhona has are perfect for the company moving forward. We are excited for the clients and the talented team at Sessions”.

Rhona and Ian are looking forward to getting started with their new business and the fantastic team that comes with it. They say they cannot wait to welcome all of Sessions’ existing and new clients in the coming weeks.
