Spectacular shows heading to Hull Theatres

Majestic musicals, masterclasses, mirth, music, and even a tiger are heading to Hull Theatres in the near future and beyond.

Appointments will be necessary when the hit show Steel Magnolias transforms Hull New Theatre into a beauty parlour next summer.

This hilarious and heart-warming true story, which inspired the hit film starring Dolly Parton and Julia Roberts, sees six women come together in a small-town beauty salon in the American South to prove that female friendship conquers all. It will be beautifully brought to life on stage from 13 – 17 June 2023.

More bookings will be required when budding ballet dancers join the Unbound Dance Day, hosted by the internationally acclaimed company McNicol Ballet Collective, for a day of masterclasses and workshops at Hull New Theatre on 3 October 2022.

A masterclass of a different kind heads to the Mortimer Suite at Hull City Hall when comedian Rhys James brings his Spilt Milk tour to the venue, packed with punchlines on 8 March 2023.

Also, at Hull City Hall the Ultimate RnB show will pay homage to the classic soundtrack of the ’90s, featuring tributes to En Vogue, Lauryn Hill, Sisqo, Montell Jordan, and Blackstreet, on 1 April 2023.

Then there is an invitation to Our House with the Hessle Theatre Company as they deliver the award-winning West End musical about love, laughter and learning to do the right thing alongside classic Madness hits from 18 – 22 April 2023 at Hull New Theatre.

And finally, it’s time to put the kettle on, as The Tiger Who Came To Tea is returning for a brew at Hull New Theatre. This amazing family show full of magic, sing-along songs and clumsy chaos will run from 12 -14 May 2023.

Tickets are on sale now. Book at the Hull City Hall box office, call 01482 300 306 or visit www.hulltheatres.co.uk
