The bar steward is back

Instead of spades, forks and vegetables, the UK’s most popular pub landlord Al Murray will bring beer barrels, pints and a “glass of white wine/fruit-based drink for the lady” as he returns to Hull City Hall next year.

His brand new show Gig For Victory will march into the venue on 9 June 2022 – the perfect time for harvesting his unique blend of satire, surrealism and observational comedy.

Propping up the bar, the comedian and TV personality will look towards a brighter future and provide solutions to problems few knew existed.

He said: “As the dust settles and we emerge blinking into the dawn of a new year, the men and women of this great country will need answers. Answers that they know they need, answers to questions they never knew existed.”

And when that moment comes, who better to show the way, to provide those answers, than the people’s man of the people, the Pub Landlord?

Steeped in the deep and ancient barroom wisdom of countless lock-ins, the Pub Landlord will be in Hull to show the way.  And he will – within sensible travel limits and theatre booking policy – come, offering people thirsty for common sense a full pint of the good stuff.

Time to get a round in!
