Got an idea for a brilliant business? This Friday (11 Oct) is Start-Up Day at Hull Central Library, a full day of free workshops and talks inspired to give you the skills and motivation to turn your brilliant idea into a business.
Taking place during National Libraries Week, the day is being run in partnership with the British Library and the Business and IP Centre Hull.
Kicking off at 11am and running until 5pm, the day includes free talks, expert workshops and tailored advice designed to get your business idea off to a flying start.
There will be chance to network, talk to business experts as well as touring the market place and Makerspace – which offers state of the art manual, digital and electronic equipment, skilled staff, as well as space to create, invent, explore, learn, think and exhibit.
Dream, Plan, Do with John Olivant aims to equip you with what you need to do in the first 90 days when starting a business to increase your chances of success. While other sessions include understanding your business environment with IBISWorld, how to develop a social enterprise with Terry King OBE and understanding market research with Intel.
