A library of all the Main Hall and Fringe Room One sessions from the Energy and Clean Growth in the Northern Powerhouse Conference and Exhibition are now available to view on the Humber LEP’s YouTube Channel.
The videos include the launch of the NP11’s Clean Growth Strategy, as well as sessions on topics as varied as nuclear, wind power, skills, innovation, decarbonising transport and integrated energy systems.
The Energy and Clean Growth in the Northern Powerhouse Conference and Exhibition was held in Hull on November 5th and 6th 2019 at Hull’s Bonus Arena.
Attended by over 800 delegates and over 130 speakers, the event was the biggest of its kind to take place in the UK.
The event was organised by the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) on behalf of the NP11 – a group of 11 LEPs that make up the Northern Powerhouse.
Richard Royal, Energy Programme Manager at the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership, who led the organisation of the event, said: “This was the largest event of its kind in the UK and offered delegates the chance to listen to world-renowned experts debating key topics on energy and decarbonisation. We’re delighted to be able to offer those who couldn’t attend the opportunity to view those discussions.”
At the conference, representatives from all 11 LEPs spoke about topics specific to their areas – from nuclear power and geothermal heat to tidal power and offshore wind, discussing exactly how collaboration can lead to sustainable changes and reduced carbon emissions while protecting valuable jobs and industries.
While there was much consensus built up across the two days on different aspects of energy generation and clean growth, the key point all delegates and speakers were agreed on was that now is the time to join together and act.
This library will provide reference on the topics discussed for many years to come and can be accessed by everyone, especially useful for those who could not attend at the time.
