VIP Group of Companies partner with local mental health charity Hull and East Yorkshire Mind

Local mental health charity Hull and East Yorkshire Mind have partnered with The VIP Group of Companies to help make change happen locally.

Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, founded in 1976, have been supporting local people for over 45 years. The charity offer counselling, group support, bereavement support and more tailored support for those bereaved or affected by suicide. More recently, the charity also run a 24/7 Information Line and are also managing the Mental Health Support Line to those in crisis and or distress.

The VIP Group of Companies, which includes VIP Communications, VIP Digital, VIP Installations, VIP VoIP Solutions and VIP Energy have been working with Hull and East Yorkshire Mind for over 10 years. It is hoped that the partnership will help to communicate the services available locally, and ‘normalise’ the conversation about mental health so that it is more widely discussed.

Money raised throughout the partnership will enable Hull and East Yorkshire Mind to support more people locally. The charity are currently supporting over 6000 every year with their mental health – with services available for adults and young people.

On 30 September 2022, VIP Group of Companies will kick start their fundraising efforts by holding their annual Golf Day in support of Hull and East Yorkshire Mind. The event which is held in partnership with printer and photocopier specialists KRL Group will aim to bring people together at Brough Golf Club to support better mental health for all. Last year, their annual Golf Day raised vital funds for Emmaus Hull & East Riding – a charity supporting formerly homeless people by giving them a home, meaningful work in a social enterprise and an opportunity to get back on their feet again.

Dan Warren, Director of Development at Hull and East Yorkshire Mind said: “It’s great to be working with VIP Group of Companies on this new and exciting partnership, and we are really looking forward to their annual Golf Day in support of Hull and East Yorkshire Mind in September.

1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem in any given year. By working together, we can promote positive mental health, raise awareness and vital funds and ensure that no one in our local area has to face a mental health problem alone.”
